 The “NSv” stands for a newer side-view / narrow-space variant in the 3300 XL NSv family. These probes are designed for tighter mounting constraints, with improved side-view clearance, more compact body designs, better EMI/RFI performance, etc.

Yes, Yes – the design includes robust construction (PPS tip molding, CableLoc, strain reliefs), connector protectors, shielding, and internal design to resist electrostatic discharge and EMI/RFI. However, installation practices (mounting, cable routing, connector sealing) still matter a lot to maintain performance and longevity.

Q4:How precise / accurate is the measurement?
Deviations from the best fit line (DSL) for the transducer family are small (often < ±0.06 mm over the linear range for NSv systems). Sensitivity variation (“incremental scale factor” variation) also within certain tolerances (± some % depending on temperature and target material).
